Often when people think of anger they think of it being a bad thing or something that is not "human". Anger is just a notification from our own energy that we do not like a situation or action and that a boundary has been crossed. Anger is an emotion just like happiness and sadness. However, anger is frowned upon in a society with a false reality of what life really is. Even in the bible it speaks about how God had became angry or God's wrath. Anger is a healthy indicator that something is wrong or something is disturbing your spirit. Many people like to fake "love & light" but to truly experience love and light you must experience the opposite of it to know what true love & light is.
When you suppress your emotions it leads to illnesses and diseases later. The emotions that you did not express or process later on after being stagnant in your energetic body for so long turns into a sickness later on in your physical body. If the emotional energy is not transmuted or processed it does not go away just because you forced your brain to forget about it. It will pop up later on over and over until you properly address it & release it.
It's ok to be angry but it's not ok to stay angry. Being angry is fine but it's what you do with that anger that matters most. After all your emotions are your responsibility.
Something that has been helping me lately in my healing journey is acknowledging that I am angry. I have every right to be. Turning the other cheek is not an effective strategy because that teaches you that disrespect is ok. It took me years of therapy & self-healing to learn how to speak up for myself when I feel disrespected or violated without losing my top. Something extremely valuable I have learned from being in chronic pain for 8 years. Especially with suffering several injuries in different parts of my back and my spine is that anger affects the body in a negative way. When I would yell and scream at the top of my lungs in an argument it would cause severe pain in my back especially my muscles. My body was responding to the tension that had built up in my body over time. Chronic pain has taught me the longer I suppress these emotions the more damage I was doing to myself. I learned healthy ways to express, release, or transmute my anger so I do not hurt anyone and most importantly so I do not hurt myself.
In this exercise you will need a pen, some paper, a quiet space, and alkaline water. Water is related to the emotional body and helps to cleanse your emotional, physical, spiritual, & mental bodies. Sit down and think about every person that you may be angry with right now. Write an angry letter to them and don't hold back ANYTHING. You will be the only person reading this letter so say EVERYTHING. LET IT ALL OUT!!! Do not hold back. Address each letter to each individual and say why you're angry, how what they did affected you, & what you really want to say to them even if it's harsh or cruel. Write until all your anger has been released & you feel better. In the end release them with true forgiveness and don't fake it. If you feel you can't release them with forgiveness in that moment say that but continue to work towards forgiving them one day. You will feel better and lighter afterwards. When you're done writing the letter burn it away from your house or living space. Take a bottle with salt water in it with you and cleanse your hands with it when you're done. This will cleanse your hands & spirit from this situation.
Remember it's ok to be angry thats part of the human experience. However, it's not ok to stay angry and it's your responsibility of what you do with it.
